I am recently retired and walk in various locations with my dog having paid my council tax and living local I think it is disgraceful that our council is thinking of making us pay for parking and if they close the car park on court Road where are shoppers and people who work in Holton road and surrounding areas supposed to park

Ridiculous to charge so much.it will kill the idea of a day out at the seaside for so many families who won't be able to afford treats like this. The local business es will also suffer.

Residents of the vale of Glamorgan should not have to pay to park in our beauty spots when we pay council tax. Cosmeston was bad enough and now these proposals are wrong.

The small businesses which are a forefront of the community are going to suffer deeply with these charges. Barry town is becoming extinct as it is. The footfall has dropped significantly already, if you introduce pay to park people will just stop going. Barry Island is a tourist destination which again will decrease having to pay for parking everywhere on the island. It is hard enough to park over there as it is if you do want to pay.

This will discourage locals from exercising at Barry Island, such as at the popular Parkrun on a Saturday. It will also significantly impact on local businesses which are already struggling.
