This cannot happen, anywhere in Wales. How much more does Welsh labour want to punish and harrass locals, visitors, tax payers and drivers? Disgraceful

This will dissuade locals visiting through the Winter months thus keeping the small businesses alive.

I for one would never pay a £10 charge for parking in Barry. It's a total rip off.

Free parking is essential to a lot of people. Stop this madness.

Leave the two hour free parking as it is, otherwise the town and surrounding shops and cafes will suffer and lose trade. We pay enough Council Tax as it is and with another increase in council tax in the pipeline by the Vale enough is enough. Why should we pay to implement this street paid parking?

Starving businesses out won't actually help turning ALL flats or shops into private rent apartments!!!

It is thoroughly concerning to me that once again Barry Council are not listening to the residents, who in fact are the people they are supposed to answer to. It's quite clear the vast majority of residents do not want this and certainly if it affects local businesses getting trade it is the exact OPPOSITE of what we are trying to build as a small community. It looks very much like it is yet another money making scheme for the council. What about the disabled residents that need their vehicles to get to Barry to enjoy the seafront? What about those of us that aren't able to afford the train and can't walk from our homes? We pay more than enough council tax here (more than most) so in the very least there should be some questionnaire or consultation on this with locals to see how it would be received.

These parking restrictions are detrimental to all the local shops and stops visitors from visiting, the public are being treated simply as cash cows with no regard to the consequences.

Council to make money for parking down the island, which would reduce the number of visitors, and put some businesses under more pressure, which could lead to job losses. Could cost the council a lot more in lost revenue.
