Scrap proposed on Street parking charges at Barry Island.

Let people park in Barry for free, life is expensive enough as it is give people their parking for absolutely nothing.

I am a pensioner and to keep healthy I drive to Barry Island each day to exercise and use the facilities such as Bay 5 for a drink. If I had to pay to park each day I wouldn’t be able to afford it and would have to go elsewhere. Also Bay 5 would suffer as there are many of us in the same situation so staff could lose their jobs. Please reconsider.

It’s disgusting the way the council is raising the cost of things in the name of progress but shutting so much down. Costs are going up but salaries are not increasing in line. How about we get rid of some of the useless councillors we have and that way we would save ourselves a lot of money!!

We are over barry Island on average 3 times a week supporting local business This would probably go down to once a week off we need to pay to oark

There has to be a better way to manage this situation that doesn’t involve dumping council problems on the locals

Give Barry businesses a chance

As well as impacting businesses, this will impact a lot of less able people not quite in the disabled bracket but unable to walk to the Island, especially as bus services to the island have been reduced.

As a barry resident and pay an ample amount of council tax having to pay to park where my taxes go to maintain the area is not right! Also I take my 93 year old grandmother as she is not as mobile we park on the street and sit in the car to change it for her and improve her quality of life

Don’t stop the town from getting the tourists. Charging for parking will.

Park run, dog walkers, coffee drinkers… all ruined if these charges go ahead.

Please don’t make it even more difficult for businesses in Barry to survive

Stop charging £100 and just let people pay as they use car parks this is greedy
