Scrap proposed on Street parking charges at Barry Island.

This will kill local visits to the Island. As a family of 4 we regularly drive over and spend money here. Having to pay to park would massively put us off.

Before long nobody will want to visit the vale .

I think its digusting charging for street parking when you already have the pay and display carparks.

Please consider local People who are paying high council taxes. We keep local businesses going in the winter months.

We’ll be far less likely to visit if we need to pay for parking!

Please don’t take away the joy of Barry Island for me. It’s so nice to pop to the beach and enjoy the beauty. Don’t charge for this. Let it be something given generously.

Why? We should be trying to encourage visitors to help support businesses in Barry. The elderly love a walk and a cuppa on the island which helps them stay healthy and in touch with friends and the community
