It is a total disgrace somewhere local people and visitors enjoy besides all the other taxes and loss of benefits we as pensions have endured to make us pay we are trying to keep fit and go for walks and socially meet up to stop us becoming lonely which personally I can’t think of anything worse and you are taking away that free 2 hours which we enjoy by making us pay we’re as we just about manage support local businesses by buying a coffee your taking that little bit of spare income by doing this shame on you look somewhere else to save money

We visit childhood friend who runs bay 5 regularly, it would be a shame to charge people. We live in Hampshire.

This will effect locals more than summer visitors. You have already limited the streets we can park on with stealth signs on the entrance to the streets with no yellow lines.

as a local I oppose this. I visit the island regularly, but this would stop if the charges are brought in .

F*ck the council. Money grabbing useless cu**s the lot of them. Our council tax should be enough to support the infrastructure around the town without the need for extra funds paid for by us again. We're taxed up to our eye balls and get less and less with the same sob story off them every year.

Council driving down footfall in town, and expect shops to pay higher business rates. Maybe the council should cut back on the 2 idle litter pickers in town who stand round gossiping all day.

1. Financial Burden on Visitors: Increased parking costs will deter families and visitors from coming to Barry Island, especially during peak seasons, impacting local businesses reliant on tourism. 2. Reduced Accessibility: Higher parking fees create an economic barrier for low-income individuals and families, restricting their ability to enjoy public spaces meant for everyone. 3. Council Revenue Over Community Growth: While the council may benefit from increased parking revenue, this short-term financial gain comes at the cost of long-term economic harm to local businesses and the community.

I have to onject to this. There are far too many additional costs that families and businesses are facing in the current financial climate. The timing is all wrong and these plans should be scrapped.
