Retired locals like to come to the island daily year round to meet friends at the cafes. Charging would make this untenable. The annual fee for car park is too expensive and further to walk for those who struggle bur don't have a blue badge.

Absolutely disgusting !!! For those that work and pay taxes, rates etc, More barriers to kill local trade, to kill barry island succeeding as a destination to enjoy . Just disappointed and disgusted

I use this are weekly why should I be charged to park where I go

Locals pay enough now. Let them be able to pop down the Island for a coffee without any additional cost.

Honestly the worst thing they can do for tourism in barry. Not to mention closing the multi storey car park would impact the teachers and other businesses that use it inorder to work without getting a ticket.
