Scrap proposed on Street parking charges at Barry Island.

Parking charges will have massive impact on businesses.

Why?

I’m a resident on Barry Island and I do not agree with these charges due to impact to local residents and businesses. There are also question marks raised about the governance of these proposals and whether they are following correct process and whether locals have had the opportunity to be consulted and have their say. These questions need to be addressed.

Absolute farce

This is an appalling attack on local Barry Residents and elderly residents wanting to see the sea and experience Barry Island. And furthermore. Waterfront residents, particularly on Ffordd Y Dociau, will suffer with visiting car driver's invading what little space there is along Ffordd Y Dociau and adjoining streets.

I do not want to see Parking Charges bought to Barry island!

I strongly disagree with this idea of charging

Disgusting. We already pay enough council tax for rubbish services. We pay to MOT TAX and INSURE ‘our’ cars. Take money off councillors.!!!! Stop their perks. Leave ordinary people alone. It’s hard enough to live as ii is.!!!!!!!

This is disgusting to charge people to visit theor local beach! Barry island will become a ghost town with buisness having to close due to people not being able to afford to pay parking.

As a local resident of the waterfront, we often have to park over the island when collecting food from local shops. Should these parking charges come in, I will no longer use the food outlets over the island, damaging local businesses.

The proposals are clearly designed to promote income rather than the benefit the community and business. Find the funds by a modest increase in rates.

I disagree with the proposed parking metres. It is disgusting that they are doing this when they have already limited parking on the island.

Quickest way to damage and eventually destroy Barry

As a resident of barry this will stop me and my family enjoying our regular walks in the beach and therfore regular purchases in local shops

Times are hard enough with the cost of living. This will cause extra hardship for the local people who spend enough on council tax.

This council is destroying the town and now the island!!!!

The proposed charges will damage businesses, charities ( I volunteer at the RNLI shop and many customers arrive by car) and discourage locals and visitors from visiting
