Absolutely disgusting

Locals need to drop children to each other’s houses, pop in for a cuppa and support, be a community without having to pay. Not everyone can walk at all times.

We should be able to enjoy open spaces for free, for our mental health. Now a nice walk on the beach will cost money which in this time of everything being so expensive people can't afford!

We pay enough taxes . I will not go to the island if I have to park. I go everyday to walk my dog

As well as signing this petition I wrote an email to the VOG council voicing my opposition to the proposition. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

For the sake of mental health in adults and children please reverse this dreadful decision

I like to visit barry island but being a pensioner will no longer be able to visit due to added expense

Charging any money for local and people vising the island will just turn the area into a ghost town. We don't need to discourage we need to be encouraging people to the area. So much h wated money already been spent like the so. Alled transport hub that no one uses, limited parking times are already pushing people away. I live in Barry and have now not been over to the idland to enjoy what should be Free and enjoyable but due to stress of moving the car every so often or paying for parking g is enough already

Stupid idea

Absolutely disgusting to charge people from using our own town’s assets. We already pay for it’s upkeep in local charges. You will kill off businesses on the Island who rely on year round visits from locals. It amazes me where you can find the money to pay for the infrastructure too. Oh yes from my bank acccount !

How do they expect hard up families to pay these fees. The beach cost nothing free fresh air and great mentality and physically and fun for those people that can’t afford to take their families to indoor activities that cost a fortune.

This is absolutely outrageous to inflict these charges which are detrimental not only to the people of Barry but also on the local economy.

I am totally against these charges as it has been proven in the past where other councils have tried this practice that it kills the local community and it's bussnesses. Please listen to the people that you are supposed to represent. Russ Owens

Ridiculous only charge people that aren’t council tax payers in the Vale of Glamorgan.

This will make it impossible to shop in Holton Road and put visitors to Barry Island off. Who can afford these ridiculous fees?!
