This parking charges are a disgrace brought in by inept council who are living in the dark ages

I live off Holton Rd and parking is already ridiculous with shoppers and workers. How much worse this will be after your proposed changes I dread to think. Will be be allocated effectively free private parking for residents like all the resident parking only zones on Barry Island??

Yet another money maker which will damage small businesses and tourism. I totally disagree with it.

This measure will discourage Barry people from visiting the Island and can only be bad for local traders.

Myself and my family used to go to the island almost daily and if not the island cosmeston. Since the charges have been put in place could probably count on one hand how many times we have visited. We would always buy from the local businesses there from an ice cream, coffee or chips. Sometimes visiting for breakfast or lunch. We no longer do this whi h is a huge shame. We go to the knapp now and buy coffee from the coffee van there, but if parking charges happen here we will avoid that area too. Surely we pay enough tax on absolutely everything plus council tax to have free parking around our local community!

Should not be aloud

We can't park in the streets we live in around holton road due to the charges around town centre everyoneis using the side streets and no sign of traffic wardens, cars are also getting damaged more often due to people squeezing onto spaces, the council is not doing us or the town centre any favours. Fewer shops as who wants to pay to go to the very little we have in Barry, your now doing the same to the island, killing Barry off.

Let people go to work and park free of charge instead of loosing a chunk of their earned money to pay for parking.

Absolutely 100% against this proposal. Having a rented office space with limited parking due to permits everywhere this car park is the only option and the diabolical state it is in does not warrent charged parking whatsoever.
