Scrap proposed on Street parking charges at Barry Island.

This will damage local businesses, especially during the Winter months, when regular visitors won't come because of the charges.

All I can say is if free parking is passed Penarth front will become a ghost area and the poor traders will loose all their revenu and older, infirm and disabled people will miss their opportunity to visit this area for health reasons. Where do you think people who are on poor incomes and pensioners can afford any parking charges with all our amenities and food going up. We pay extortionate rates for housing tax and get nothing in return, so stop getting extortionate pay rises and bonus and put the money to community funds

Born and bred in Barry. Went to Barry Island school. Still visit family regularly. Charge for parking will deter people visiting.

Barry council seems like you are going to drive all the tourists and locals who enjoy the facilities of these places away. Making Barry a ghost town.
