This will force parents into the side streets which already are busy enough at school times. Cherrywood garden is a good example

Safety of children is paramount & teachers should not be paying car parking fees with the high cost of living to contend with.

This car park is vital for school parking at all times of the day BUT also for the retirement apartments next door to the car park. Carers HAVE to park in this car park as do visitors. Both carers and visitors come at all times for long and short visits and cannot be expected to pay each time.

Totally agree with everything stated. Local workers will be impacted and they will choose to park down nearby roads which will be counter productive as more cars in residential areas

I object to parking charges which affect church goers and school children.

Mothers , fathers ,grandparents need to take their children safely to school. There is no where to park in the area and St Mary’s Road is a rat run. Residents on Hayling need to be able to take their children safely to school,we pay in all the other car parks ,so this one should not be a target as safety should come first. This car park has been a target before and I really don’t think it should have been selected once again. Parents should not be penalised , it’s a safe car park next to a school. Not a shopping centre or a beachfront where you make an awful lot of revenue so would you please reconsider this decision. Thank you

Surely it’s a no brainer. Imagine parking around near schools if you enforce parking charges. It’s utterly ridiculous and disgraceful.

Why are those seeking to park in Mengham / Elm Grove / Toutnburuy areas , always being penalised ? I note West Town has a large free carpark and on street parking has a generous time limit .Charges at St Mary's Rd.car park will adversely affect those parking for church services ae.g. funerals who will be subjected to extra stress ( especially those without smart phones ) dealing with payment machines or will decide to park on surrounding roads/ co-op car park which is not ideal .

There is very little parking available around St. Mary’s Road, and when it is needed - it is for short periods of time. This car park is well used and helps to keep the area safe for children and other road users. Do not charge for this safety!

This car park is invaluable to parents at nearby schools and is essential to keep children safe. I object strongly to this proposal

For the safety of the children!! Please allow parents to drop their children off free !! That shouldn’t even be a question! It will encourage parents to drop off on double yellows and park in rediculous places just to drop their children off! So sad you’re trying to charge parents to drop their children off twice per day!!

This would cause absolute havoc with parking/ abandonment of vehicles on nearby roads etc. And the staff on minimum wages in the pre school/ nursery would struggle to pay and keep their jobs. Think again!
