Scrap parking charges in St Marys Road

I live locally and the parking outside the Infant school is already limited enough, this encourages dangerous parking in the area.

I strongly object to the proposed charging.

This is nothing more than a cash grab this car park is mostly used by people who live and work there and drop off pick children to school

If you charge for this car park you will you putting the safety of children at risk as there is no where to park for school runs and nursery runs. Surely that is more important than the money you will be getting

This will cause congestion on the roads as people will avoid paid car parks.

Please think again about the proposal of charging for this car park! So many staff at at least three different educational and nursery settings will have their income severely effected by this. The safety of pedestrians will be put at risk due to people parking on the road. Parents won't have anywhere to park when dropping their children. The poor residents will also suffer with the increased amount of cars parking on the roads. This will of course cause friction and frustration of people can't get out of driveways etc. Please think again!!!

As a pensioner who cannot walk far these increases in charges & charging where once was free will cause me great problems. Life is hard enough as it is without having to pay fees I can ill afford.

We absolutely must keep St Mary's Road, Hayling Island car park free of charge. It is a very much needed for people visiting the library and children being taken o school as there so no other places to park. So little space to park for those unable to walk any distance to the library, and I am thinking of the elderly as well as parents with young children. Do the right thing and help your constituents this very much needed free parking in a small carpark please.

This car park can’t be charged for! So many rely on it

Convenient for schools, nursery, local shops and church.

This is a valuable and free resource for the community, in a busy part of the Island, with shops, businesses and a school located in the immediate vicinity. HBC tool the option to let West Beach car park fall into the sea, depriving the community and visitors of yet another resource, and valuable income. They should not seek to cause yet more harm because of their negligence.

To charge parents who are dropping off and picking up their kids from school is absolutely disgraceful

If charges are brought in at this carpark, there will be accidents around the schools and preschool, as parents will park on the local roads.

If you start charging for this car park it will become an empty space. Parents who pick up and drop off school children will just clog up side streets. Please please don’t start charging.
