The city Has shown itself incapable of enforcing any rules for these devices. Banning them altogether is appropriate until the city or the scooter companies step up and regulate them

People are not using them primarily for transportation but for fun. They dropped them anywhere they wish including on private yards and property. It is out of control!

These scooters and bikes are an environmental disaster, a safety concern, a blight on the community, and negatively impact local businesses.

I am a Little Italy resident and senior citizen. Walking on the sidewalk, I have been narrowly missed by scooter riders several times. Scooters are left all over the sidewalks. Most riders are completely ignoring the all the laws.

I am really worried that what seems to be a joyfilled pastime is becoming dangerous for the scooter riders and the people in their path. There have too many injuries, and the riders are careless where they leave them.

Obviously the new rules are not working and many of them are not being enforced (sidewalk riding and underage riding!). Prioritize public safety, not joyriding and corporate profit.

This blight is getting worse. Please get rid of them. Yesterday I saw maybe 10 of them thrown in a sort of pile in the dirt.

No helmets? bicycle riders have to wear helmets, why not scooters? I have seen two incidents where scooters are not giving way to pedestrians and causing traffic issues as well as unsafe riding!

I am in the Healthcare profession and very concerned about safety and scooters. Daily I see no helmets, riding fast, close calls and hear of the morbidity and mortality of scooters as well.
Please ban them as other cities have done.
Thank you for your time and consideration
