San Diego Scooter Ban

Too many accidents involving pedestrians and scooter riders on the sidewalk. No one is enforcing the rules for riding and parking scooters

Remove the clutter and safety hazard!

So dangerous and not being used to reduce congestion, but as out of control motorized toy!

Please remove these nuisances. Frustrating and dangerous!

Extremely dangerous! Too many people have had serious injuries riding these scooters.

Unsafe for operation for both the riders and the pedestrians around them. Clutter and trash dumped all over the walkways. Ban them from our city please!

If horns helmets an slower motors were put i think they might have worked!!! There needs to be safety guidelines an numerous station to drop these off like a scooter bike rack everyblock or face penalty for not returning it!! Ive signed it in empathy for those lives impacted by accident......theres no regulations no helmets ridiculous speeds accidents........so ban them!!

How many people have to be killed & severely injured before the City council scratches its head and figures out that these things are a danger, and a menace?! Our City looks like a ghetto with all these scooters and bikes scattered everywhere!!! Seems all they care about is the money they generate for the City! It’s time, NOW, to BAN all these motorized scooters and bikes. Thank you Barbara Bry!

Scooter users chronically disobey rules by unsafely riding on sidewalks and disregarding traffic signs/lights. Also, unsupervised children have been seen riding scooters. Furthermore, scooters are left all over the place, obstructing sidewalks, streets, and entryways. Finally, enforcing scooter laws unnecessarily taxes SDPD, who are already burdened with policing large homeless population and widespread narcotics activity. I’m on a walker. I can’t use the sidewalks as they were intended because these scooters are everywhere like litter

I’m signing to encourage a dialogue between the Scooter operators and the City. There are too many scooters, too many unsafe riders, and too many left abandoned on private property. I live at Windansea, so I know what I’m talking about.

I’ve sent my comments to Barbara Bry’s office as well.
