I am a senior and when scooters left in front of my home I can't get to my car...and have fallen once! A menace!
I live in single family zone...4 blocks from busy Garnet avenue!

Between irresponsible riding and careless parking, scooters are a public safety hazard. It's time for a moratorium until the city can figure out a better way.

Please stop the insanity.
Please make the scooter vendors truly accountable and responsible for the havoc on our streets and sidewalks. The vendors should be absorbing the time, costs, and resources to clean up and manage their mess, NOT the taxpayers. If anything make it a "safe" city revenue stream where the vendors pay hefty fees and fines.

I’ve been personally injured by a person riding one of these and they are a nuisance clogging sidewalks and handicap areas.

The rental companies have zero respect for the communities they have invaded. Zero. Way too many scooter/bikes everywhere. In Mission Beach You cannot look in any direction without seeing a mess.

Scooters are no longer used for their primary intention. They sit on the side of roads, in walkways, driveways, and cause damage to people's homes, cars, and property because of the lack of care shown to them. I find 3 scooters in my eyesight at any point in mission beach, and rarely do I see them used. They have become litter in my mind and I with that I could just throw them away. This scooter issue has made me lose faith in the city of sd to be reasonable with the homeowners and people who live in the city over the business that clearly has too many issues to be in mission beach and san diego right now. I wait for the day I can walk peacefully without hearing the beeping of a scooter without a kid dragging it unopened to the sound of chirping electronics.

If they were limited in numbers it might be a solution but there are way too many of them. They had their chance. Ride a bike and get some exercise. Now it’s harder to park a car on the street due to the red zones being full of scooters.

I was recently on crutches due to an injury, and the scooters created problems with my safety. Scooters must be banned in San Diego.

As a resident of La Jolla, I support the ban of scooters. I witness multiple examples of dangerous behaviors every day. Blocked sidewalks are commonplace. Please ban these devices from our communities.

Ban the scooters
