San Diego Scooter Ban

These scooters are dangerous and unnecessary.

These things are ridiculous & should not be allowed on the boardwalk. They are for all intents a motorized vehicle. I can’t ride my Vespa on the boardwalk but a scooter with ZERO regulation le are fine?? Stop the insanity NOW. I’d like to be able to walk without fear or getting hit.

Ban them from all places. They are a hazard to everyone.

How does a nuicence like these scooters help San Diego and environment? Many people just use them for "fun" at the beach. At least 50% under 16 and unlicensed. 0% wearing helmets. I've seen at least 1 to 3 accidents a day. Several involving head trauma and ambulances. The high-speeds, (and dangerous at low too)The upright posture of the rider, position of the hands, electric torque and small wheels on irregular surfaces. Do the Physics or ask a ER Doctor. They are made in China and have batteries. Not very environmental The average life of one these I've been told is under 2 month. I believe that. People are actively destroying them to regain our sidewalks, driveways and everywhere they are littered. They have motors. The sidewalks and boardwalks are not where they belong. The Laws are written as "engines" not motors. It was an oversight that I hope is remedied soon. Add to many riding are overweight. They should be looking for solutions to their problem, not an easy ride. Buy a Bike.

I’m disabled they’re a major trip hazard. Awful piles of junk everywhere thrown in alleys. Good riddance.

I am voting to ban scooters

Why our elected officials had our taxes pay for sidewalks that provide access to the blind by providing truncated domes and detectible warning pavers and then allow them to be blocked by scooters is beyond understanding!

Scooters have become like litter at the beach. They are overcrowded into the corrals and are still left in people's yards, in streets and anywhere the rider pleases. In short, they are a blight. Stand tall as other cities have done and ban them. Protect the rights of property owners.

The se scooters are a dangerous and a menace, not just for the riders, but everyone else also. My wife tripped over one left lying haphazardly on the sidewalk and broke her arm on 8/4. earned a cast for weeks and months to rehab. Ban them completely.

These scooters make my neighborhood look like trash, nobody abides by the rules, and I can't walk down a sidewalk without almost getting hit. Get rid of them.

No scooters on the boardwalks, Balboa Park or Embarcadero. Period.

These scooters endanger everyone on the sidewalks and board walk. Please ban before more tragedies
