RID #32854 This test is a necessity to protecting the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons encountering issues in the legal system. Without this test, qualified and verified interpreters are not available nor present at times when interpretations services could mean the difference between life or death. I have studied extensively and trained deeply to ensure I could give these services and now am being denied the chance to test to show qualifications. Please rectify this ASAP.

There are nearly 100 in limbo. Many have passed the written and are within their 5 years to retest. This policy should be upheld until the end of the 5 years or when a new test is available.
