In the past, Jackson County High School had a Math/Science program of study that included Biology 2 as part of the required coursework. Many students at JCHS are interested in pursuing a Math/Science program so that they are more competitive on their college applications or to better prepare them for the difficult topics they will study during their undergrad. The students, parents, and teachers who have signed below recognize the importance of such a program and would like to see it reinstated at JCHS.

**This petition was organized by the current Chemistry Teacher at JCHS, Brent Hunter. Mr. Hunter has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, multiple years of undergrad research experience working in a microbiology/genetics laboratory, and intends to be the instructor for one section of Biology 2 for interested Juniors and Seniors who have completed Biology 1 with a B or better.**
