The purpose of this petition is to address the issue of the lack of local primary school placesin Enfield in2012; we understand that over 100 children have no place to start school this year. We demand that Enfield Council do the following:
§ increase the overall provision of places for primary school children
§ create 'bulge classes'at Walker Primary and St Monicas for this year
§ support planning permission to extend Walker school on a permanent basis
§ investigate the 'admission rule cheats'
§ redefine admission rules such that a family must remain in thelocal area in order for them to continue to be entitled to a sibling place at a school

Ridiculous that families are having to travel across the borough just to get a spot. Do something about this now.
Sick of hearing about people lying on their applications just to get in. Fix the rules!
seriously not good enough. my daughter is 4 and still no school place. fix it.
Absolutely need more places at Walkers. Cant believe the council has ignored this for so long.
My son has been rejected from every school near us despite living round the corner. This is a joke.

We also live 3 minutes walk away - and own our house - we are hoping to get our 2 children into our local school.
