I had been personally called out about 2 times from lessons and absouletey slated for what I wear and the teacher who took me out the first time said things like: 'stop being different' 'why can't you be like everyone else' 'why are you unique' 'stop breaking the system' and I quote she said all those things to me and all because i decided to wear 3/4 length trousers to school and if they are on about modesty then my trousers were more modest than anything they can make us wear.
Also do they really think that if they carry on patrolling outside of school every morning that we are gonna give into them... NO!!!!
Lastly how can they say it's okay for girls to wear short skorts but not school skirts, what message is that promoting??? This is all so very sexist so it's 2017 so why are we still debating this and putting up with it??

It's rediculous that the school thinks that it's acceptable to criticise students for the SCHOOL TROUSERS that have been bought for them by their parents! It's also incredibly ironic that they say trousers that are skinny aren't smart enough and are unsuitable yet they'll put you in tracksuit bottoms if your uniform isn't up to their standards!
Why should it matter what trousers the students wear, what piercings they have or what colour their hair is? It's their choice what they do with their own body and the school has no right to judge them for that!!
If this helps with a students confidence or to raise their self-esteem then why is this an issue?
It doesn't effect anyone's education or distract anyone, it's bad teachers that students don't like and bullies that distract other people's learning! The school should respect the students decisions to wear what makes them feel comfortable, it's also very annoying when the students are asked to remove their nail varnish yet staff are allowed to walk around with painted nails or false extensions!
The way people present their body has nothing to do with their education and I'm sure a lot of students would learn better in an environment they're comfortable in because they aren't getting nagged about their appearance
It's also very unhelpful that some students aren't as wealthy as others and their parents may find it hard to find the money for uniform because the trousers that we are supposed to wear cost stupid amounts of money! It's mad that they expect parents to forget about the uniform they have already bought and buy new uniform wasting the money they spent on the original clothes

I agree, teachers care more about the way we dress rather than education, my friend brought school trousers from the school section in H&M, and a teacher had a go at her because they are not by a shop that actually manufactures school trousers, and yet I find that teachers alow us to wear trousers from M&S(etc), Teachers don't seem to bother about confidence, we wear what's comftable because we don't want to get judged, Teachers care more about making students feel unsecured and feel bullied, we were all told to wear the same uniform as last year and that's what we r doing but now they want to change it, I feel sorry for All the parents that spent loads of money on school trousers (which turns out to be a waste of time) and then get told they are in appropriate cuz they are not school trousers, how can we learn when we feel like we r gonna get judged..???

This is what my school Holyrood is doing. Students should be entitled to wear whatever they feel comfortable in regardless on gender. The fact that they chose appearance over education is disgraceful because in the end of the day, school is for education not appearance. Although uniform may avoid bullying by keeping everyone equal, that isn't really dealing with the issue. Also many schools condradict themselves by making everyone the same when they try to promote individuality.

I agree, teachers shouldn't look at our legs. They shouldn't stereotype girls to be flaunting their curves. If they think 'boys' look, tell them not to - that's the problem. We have legs. Boys have legs. Teachers wear dresses- showing off those bare legs

So many girls are being told that they are not allowed to wear makeup as it "distracts boys" that is disgusting! It is allowing girls to be objectified to the opposite sex... as are the trousers. The school encourage individuality yet they take away the things that make you unique and indoctrinate you!

And they are also not allowing year 11 students (me) out of school for lunch until they wear “the right” uniform. More like they are putting us in prison suits and then Letting us roam around sherborne

It’s so strict that one girl in my tutor has to shave her hair it’s apparently “too short” or “a bad reputation for the school”. Why can’t you just accept people for who they are (like they say they do In assemblies) and don’t discriminate people for who they are. No one is the same because if we were, we wouldn’t be who we are and we wouldn’t be able to tell who is who
