This is a NON PARTISAN endeavor, which will be focused on showing the leaders of this country that we, the American voters, are serious about the protection of our school children.  By signing this petition, you are acknowledging your support for a nationwide school security grant program.  I would like this to be refered to as the "School Protection and Security Act".  The objective of this act is to secure funding for security improvements in various school districts nationwide.  This petition will be sent to the President and Congress of the United States of America.  For many years, our congress has approved millions of dollars for the funding of asinine endeavors such as treadmills for shrimp and tunnels for turtles.  We MUST stand together, insisting that our government implement EFFECTIVE measures for keeping our children safe.  Please help me make a REAL difference!!!
