Final supporters
For some of us that work in the tourism trade we have it hard getting time off as that is our busiest time when holidays for children are on. Plus the costs are really silly double or Evan treble the cost if we went in term time. For some of us on low income we can't afford to do this it could take us into a year to save for one holiday.
We not silly we not going to take our kids out when they got exams etc... But we can't let this go on
We would love the fines to be abolished or let us have 7-10days slowed holiday a year if we go over that (not including sickness) then go ahead start fining but not before.
We all want our children to have a education but it is also good to have a break
Hope we can come up with some results

I have spent my evenings reading your stories about how these fines impact your family budgets and your mental health. It is clear that the current policy ignores the reality of those of us working in the tourism trade. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to ensure they understand that a family break should not be a luxury item.

Seeing so many of you connect with this struggle reminds me that I am not fighting alone for the right to take a family break. It is a relief to know that other parents feel the same strain of these unfair costs and rigid rules. We are gaining real momentum and I feel more determined than ever to get us a fair policy.

the travel companies just hike the prices up as soon as the kids break up. its not fair we get punished for wanting a family break
total nightmare. we just want a week abroad but cant pay 3k when it costs 900 in term time
my husband works in retail and summer is his busy season. we have no choice but to take them out later in the year
ridiculous prices. my boss wont let me take time off in summer so we never get to go anywhere
so sick of being told i cant take my own child on holiday because the school doesnt like it. its my choice not theirs
I cant afford to pay for holiday in summer time

STOP THE FINES. MY KIDS ATTENDANCE IS NEARLY 100 PERCENT BUT WE GET THREATENED OVER ONE WEEK
