The past 3 terms Garden International School International Malaysia (April 2020 to Jan 2021), solely owned by The Taylors Group has witnessed full school fees being charged to parents for all students despite the fact that much of the time, students were based at home. Neither have school premises been used by students, nor have full teaching days been observed for the primary students especially. Parents have had to devote time away from work to ensure that their children meet the minimum standards required by the class teachers.
Businesses have closed, unemployment levels increasing, incomes are being impacted, hours are spent doing work that teachers are professionally trained for. The Taylors Group and the Loy Family seem not to have any not empathy whatsoever towards the Parents during these tough times.
Full fees are demanded from and expected to be paid by parents no matter the crisis that we are in. Shareholders, please have a heart. You call us the GIS Family/Community, please act as if you are part of the Family.
Give us parents a 50% reduction on school fees for this term at least. Please consider the implications of fees especially on those who have more then 2 children at the school. Any support will be welcomed.

The speed at which this has taken off proves that The Taylors Group can no longer hide behind their corporate silence. They are profiting from our struggle while we carry the burden of teaching their curriculum at home. We have momentum now and we are going to keep the pressure on until the Loy family acknowledges this exploitation.

Throughout this pandemic many of Malaysians have been affected by the effects of the MCO. Education for our kids are vital, & as parents we know GIS is one of the better schools in Msia. We sincerely appeal to the council of the school board to walk thru this challenging times with the parents! When times are good, we have never requested for review of fees. Do consider this request as this is a serious matter that we look forward to the school working with parents for the future of our next generation...
Yes. Taylor’s Group needs to make an appropriate gesture to particularly to EYC, Year 1 - 3 cohorts. They are too young to be able to learn from online classes and not being able to access library and facilities. It is very surprising that we need to do this official petition. I think it is a logical and professional decision that Taylors Group can make.
We are not receiving the full service we are paying for. It’s like paying for a business class seat and ending up with an economy seat, and the airline doesn’t even acknowledge the shortfall in the product and service received.
The school need to cut tuition fee for the following reasons. 1. Online schooling offers 60min x4 lessons each day except 50minx4 lessons Friday. Compared with the regular lessons it reduced class hours by 240min. That means each week one day is off, only 4 days out of a week. 2. Teachers computer crashes or zoom does not work on teachers account resulting in disruptions in the lessons. I have reported to the school several times but so far no actions taken are communicated to parents. They just apologise each time.
Yes, I agree with the reduction in fees. The children are being deprived class communication and interacting with the teachers as well as their classmates. With on line education the parents of children are playing the part of the teachers and this takes a lot of their personal time. Which is not fair. Taking the above points I srongly believe that the school has to be reduced the school fees.
Please consider a reduction or a discount. Other schools have. Or a return of a portion of the deposit .

The parents of the children are in the tourism industry at the same time. The epidemic has brought a fatal blow to the enterprises and families they run. We have to bear the salary of the employees, and we can't give up the children's studies. The high tuition fees put great pressure on my family, but we can't get support. In order to reduce the loss of students, we call on schools to give certain discounts under special circumstances.
