Hi guys,

Please sign this petition to show how important it is to get our children to and fromschool safely.

The catchment areas have all been changed due to years 6 and 7 going all together to Secondary School next year.

Our part of Currambine now has to go to Belridge College which will mean the kids having to get 2 buses, one to Joondalup Station then change to the Belridge bus.

There is a school bus already in use but it doesn't come as far as where we all live. It picks up at Joondalup Primary School which is at least a 25 min walk from us and in hot weather or rainy weather is not good.

Lets propose that Transperth extend the school bus route to come up Moore Driveas far as us to go round the roundabout at Connolley and pick up the kids from the bus stop on Moore Drive,

We have no option now but to send our kids to Belridge so I think that Transperth should adapt the service to keep our kids safe going to and from school.

Updates

September 2, 2014

I have been documenting our specific routes and safety concerns for my meeting with transport authorities next week. Seeing your stories about the trek to Joondalup Station confirms that this change is completely unworkable for our kids.

Seeing this grow makes me feel much better about my own child having a safer way to school. This momentum proves that other families are just as worried as I am about these commute changes.

JUST EXTEND THE ROUTE ALREADY!! Why make it so hard for the local kids.

Ridiculous to expect kids to change buses at the station. It adds way too much time to their day and it is really unsafe for them.

Agree 100%. Moore Drive needs a stop. My son is not walking 25 mins in the rain just to get to school.
