I have been reading the messages from other veterans who are tired of burning their leave just to manage the injuries they sustained in service. It feels validating to know I am not the only one facing this hurdle to basic healthcare. We are currently figuring out the best way to bring this directly to the people who hold the power to change these leave policies.

Seeing this grow makes me think of the brothers and sisters I served with who struggle to balance their health and their careers every single day. Your support tells me that we are finally starting a conversation that is long overdue for all of us injured in the line of duty.

Ridiculous that my husband has to burn through his sick days just to see a dr for injuries he got in Iraq. Fix this now!!
Support this 100 percent. Veterans shouldnt have to choose between keeping their job benefits and staying healthy.

They fought for us. Least we can do is let them get their doctor appointments covered without losing their own vacation time. Seems like common sense to me.
