The Club Management cannot ignore this wave of pressure now that we have hit this threshold of member support. They have been stalling on our Saturday shooting schedules for too long and this momentum forces their hand to finally listen.

Members should be able to have the choice on Saturday competition days as to when they want to play, particularly if they prefer to play early in the morning. Shotgun starts inevitably result in slow play.
no other club of high standing ever has shotgun starts on their main comp day .we should fall in line with royal melb.kingston heath ,nsw,the australian etc if we are to see ourselves as a pre eminent qld club

Shot gun starts are for fun events only, every other golf club in the world knows that simple principle
I do not like Shotgun starts for comp games. Leave them for social Sunday
Agree that we should revert back to alternating Pines and Palms and definitely no Shotgun events.
we came to Sanctuary Cove due to its exclusivity. This is just one more down grade that will hopefully bite the dust. well done petition organisers

Shotgun starts are effective in having everyone start and finish at approximately the same time. That makes perfect sense for social rounds (i.e. Sunday Ambrose), but is unnecessary on a Saturday competition day. The golf tends to be slower than normal and the majority of the players don't get to play the course in the correct order (i.e. 1 through 18).
