We shouldn't need a petition.....the vote of the city council is over but I will , and have apposed this total change of direction of our city.....get over it, let's move the right direction people.

RonPrestage insulted the citizens of this community and misrepresented the company (e.g. Wages, confinements etc). The last thing Mason city needs is hog confinements around it along with the slaughterhouse to pollute the water and air; workers and their families coming into the community would place maximal stress on the school systems. This is not the best thing for Mason city and not something that should even for 10 seconds be reconsidered.

Please honor the "no" decision against Prestage. Let us all work together to create environmentally clean jobs with livable wages. Let us stay strong against Iowa becoming a sea of large-scale CAFOs. We are with you, Council, as you make the "no" decision that we are sure is a YES! for the good future of Mason City!

Mason City needs quality jobs that pay a living wage so that families can actually prosper and put back in the community! There will be no growth and no benefit if people are not paid a living wage. The environment is equally important!

Prestage is located in North Carolina which has been putrified by the hog business. There is now a moratorium in North Carolina, so their corporate hog business is now moving into Iowa, bringing their filth with them. Another disaster waiting to happen. To the council members, please hold to your vote. Our community is depending on you.

Rally people to attracted other businesses the community wants instead! Have town halls to brainstorm on ideas that fit with the community. Be leaders instead of pawns.

No to revote: The vote has been taken: The decision has been made; there is no honorable reason for another vote. The community needs to trust the council's decision after the legal process has taken place and not re open a dead issue., causing more division in the community. It's time to trust the process and heal the community so we can move ahead. A revote will only cause distrust in the council process which will negatively effect our community in the future.
