If these guys get their kicks from murder they are mentally unfit to live in a society.

This is disgusting and so shameful that they think this is a good approach. We must do better!

Please reconsider this event. There are much more human ways to raise money. These animals don't deserve this.

Please stop killing innocent animals that are causing no harm.

What a shameful black eye upon both Firefighters and PA. I own a wildlife control company. I must have smarter people as customers because none of them support this stupid approach - and, we all equally own our wildlife. This approach doesn't work.

Hunting is a horrible choice for a fundraiser. It is not a conservation effort and is just pure violence.

This is a totally absurd, cruel and hateful plan for raising money. Obviously, the fire department is a very worthy cause, but NOT at the expense of innocent creatures that are VERY necessary for a healthy ecosystem!

Killing should only be used in defense of life.

Are we still doing this in an evolved society? And as a fundraiser for the Fire Department? There are many ways to raise money that do not include grossly offending a majority of residents and treating wildlife so horribly. This is shameful.

What kind of fundraiser is this?! Encouraging the killing of wildlife, bloodsports, barbaric and cruelty to animals isn't what I think of when I think of firefighters! There's no honour in killing contests - they are ugly, sadistic, bloody stains put on all hunters, how could you even consider such an unsportsman-like event!?

Please stop killing your animals. There are plenty of deterrent to keep them away. Cruelty isn't necessary.

Killing Coyotes Often Results In More Rather Than Fewer Coyotes!

Killing contests are driven by the mistaken idea that coyotes 'need' to be hunted. They most assuredly do not. In PA, coyotes are needed to help control deer, slow the spread of Lyme and take out infected deer from the population.

I have great respect for our firefighters in this country. But this gives this particular fire department a huge black eye.

Time to join the 21st Century and put an end to this barbaric practice. What purpose does this hunt serve other than a sadistic bloodbath? Firefighters swear an oath to save lives, not destroy them.

This is just sadistic killing, for no reason - and should be banned completely…

Too bad men feel less like a man unless they kill innocent animals, but they don’t feel less manly waving around their tiny penis. It’s the 21st century. Try doing something that IS actually manly.

Animal cruelty in most States is illegal. What kind of event is this for an organization that saves lives daily? Hypothetical much??
