This industry has to be regulated otherwise anyone could become a guide! If the country is to be shown in the best light then only a good standard of guide will do. I travel widely and bad guides spoil it.
Illegal guide will tarnished the name of the country. Tourism is the major income for Malaysian, illegal guiding will effect the income and it's deprived job license tour guides
Strongly disapprove to Illegal guides because they are affecting the living hood of genuine licence guides who try to make a living out of this profession,
Why are we legitimate tour guides needed to spend thousands of ringgit to study a tourist guide course, sit for exams and go through the yearly ctre courses. We might as well just forget about licence renewal and going to the pain of sitting in ctre.
Illegal is illegal. No need course ,no need health check.no need ctre.no need association renewal fees.no need motac watch.no need all relevent procedure .just buy a batik shirt and do the job
Guide must well trained to be in the industry.

We must not allow non licenseholder to assume a travel.guide job. Do note that all candidates must be interviewed by ministry first n go thru a proper training n exam. Non interview means that even the drug actint also can be tour guide. How do we preserve n promote our image in foreigners?
