On Tuesday,3/20/2018, the Rock Hill BOA members are voting yay or nay for a high density housing project that is being proposed for our neighborhood. The request by the builder, McKelvey Homes, is to squeeze in ten 300,000-$500,000 homes into a small parcel of land that sits back off of Hudson Ave, just north of El Dorado Ct. & Hudson Ave intersection. This online petition will be sent to our Mayor & all Alderpersons that have been elected to represent the citizens of Rock Hill. Please sign & let them know that this project is wrong for our city, wrong for our neighborhood kiddos that walk to school along Hudson, and wrong for the mature tree canopy & diverse wildlife in Rock Hill. Fewer homes built in that space means less water runoff, and a more suitable construction for our neighborhood.

While I am in favor of development in Rock Hill in general I have concerns about the increased traffic on Hudson this close to the school and the potential water flow changes to surrounding properties. I agree with Angela, this is too many homes on this site and I plead with the City to reconsider going forward with this plan.
I have lived in this neighborhood for 20 years now and am raising my children here. Ten homes in this parcel is too many!
Keep on signing Rock Hill! Our Alderpersons, Mayor, and City Manager need to hear from us if we’re opposed to this many homes in such a small area. McKelvey Homes is reputable & will listen to us if we speak up! But if we’re silent, the policy makers assume that this is an acceptable amount of homes that are proposed.
I am not opposed to development. I am opposed to squeezing too many homes on a small piece of land. Ten homes on that small parcel is too many.

I question why so many homes? This seems very cramped and opens the door to legitimate concerns about traffic flow and environmental impact to surrounding neighbors. Development can be good; this one though seems to be a tad much.
