Location is not ideal for this type of business.

I would love a gas station closer to home but nothing like the one planned.... it will surely effect traffic and safety of our walking students

I fully support the development of the lot but do not think this proposal is the right solution. As a resident for the last 10 years I can't even count how many accidents I have seen at the 5 corners intersection. I think research should be done on making the intersection safer for pedestrians. A busy gas station would do the opposite.

Our family lives just down the street from Forest Glen. We are supportive of wise development at this corner. But a 24-hour gas station? No way!

Not a way to welcome people to our village with its historical places nearby

Having a gas station so close to a school is very dangerous. Kids don't always watch for traffic and they run fast. Sometimes too fast for a car to stop.

Resident: 781 Western Avenue, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Please do not approve a 24/7 gas station on the southeast corner of Main Street and St. Charles Road. Thank you. - CN

No way

That would be terrible. There are too many children crossing the street there, and it's way too close to the school.

We do not want a gas station right across from our elementary school!

This is already a dangerous intersection with low visibility because of the hill there- a gas station there would compound that issue. It would also invite visitors 24hrs a day. It's not an appropriate site for a gas station, right across from the historic Stacey tavern and historical museum. It brings north avenue one step closer to what is a very residential area. And, I just don't want it there.

The land is not zoned for this and violate sign ordinances as well as zoning ordinances. There was NO regard for the homes behind it and the developer admittedly said in a meeting "What homes behind it"? The village is making the same mistake again and it is wrong. I strongly OPPOSE the use of a gas station.

How much of our taxes have gone to "beautifying Glen Ellyn" in the past and now this? Yes, the village is desperate for $ (how's the Fresh Market doing?) but think longer term please!

Although conventional, the negative attributes outweigh the convenience

Dumb on so many levels.

I would love to see the corner used, but I hate to go back to having a gas station. If the village strongly support a gas station, we need to push for something designed to be sensitive to the usage and character of the area.

Really, really!? This is what you want to be the entrance to GE with the park and museum on the other side of the street. And it is way too dangerous on so many levels.

No thank you. This is the type of thing that belongs on North Ave. Oh, where all the gas stations are.

No way. What an eyesore

There are plenty of 24 hr stations within close driving proximity. This is does not bring additional value or benefit to our town, and will not improve the safety for our children.
