Terrible. We have plenty of other options for gas and convenience. The aesthetics make no sense either. Why massive 24/7 lighting? Are they trying to get 355 traffic?

The several reasons noted are more than enough justification as to why this gas station doesn't belong at this corner!

The proposed use will have an immediate and substantial negative impact on the area, Forest Glen Elementary School, and most importantly the residents and families in the immediate area. The proposed use and aesthetics is not a fit for the historic Stacy’s Corner intersection and is not in line with the vision set by the Village. Nowhere else in Glen Ellyn is there a service station within such a close proximity to single family homes. Similar to other families in the immediate area, we are very concerned about the impact on the health, safety and security of residents and businesses, as this use is a known nuisance and historically has had significant long term impacts, on the health of the local population, including children, the value of the surrounding real estate and businesses, as well as the impact on the integrity of this community to support the long term needs for a business, while promoting the local historical significant of the intersection.

This gas station is not the right business for the corner welcoming visitors to our town. We want to ensure safety for our kids and adding a 24/7 brightly lit gas station 2 blocks from our elementary school is not what we want!!!
