They should not be able to block a block street just for their personal use to their home. They use my street everyday at a high rate of speed that is dangerous.

Absolutely not. They chose to build their home in that location. Very pompous. I own a home on College Road in Dickens Place and
deal with high traffic in both directions from all neighborhoods. Deal with it. Find another solution. No to gate.

this is a through street just as all our streets are. Why can they drive through our neighborhood but we can't drive through theirs?

I live at the end of Davis Rd. and say no to the gates because this end of the road will get the turn around traffic. Please at the next meeting remind everyone there is a stop sign at Courtyard and Davis. There are 5 houses between that and the end of Davis. Hardly anyone stops. Plus remember the speed zone is 30 miles an hour and if you get behind me I will be doing 30 and you will not pass me. I am a little old lady so humor me or you will get a ticket. This adds 15-20 minutes to a work commute on I-55 for many of us. There's about 12 homes along the current route in question likely prompting this proposal. Although I can truly appreciate their traffic complaint, forcing the rerouting of the traffic you don't like past your neighbors instead, is not a neighborly approach to the problem. As others have also stated, forcing a longer route to the hospital if needed, and using public tax money to maintain these roads is not a reasonable approach.
Options: Propose funding for a new road be built connecting Dickens Place Dr along its route at some point to Church, or place speed bumps along the road going through Castle Ridge.

No one outside the neighborhood can stop and enjoy the ducks and now this! Atleast close it at 1am -7am for those whose coming off the Interstate from a long trip back to their home. I sure hope the citizens taxes aren't paiding for it, if so don't block the streets. Cameras are all you need. They will tell the story of who did it and show how they did it. LOL and SMH
