How it the next juction along (Houghton cut) going to cope. When they closed the newbottle junction a couple of months ago traffic was backing up the cut sliproad onto the A690. Also how does this fit with the proposals for new houses in Philidelphia and sedgletch?

just make it safer, or does that make too much sense to the council. They have wasted money on other pointless "traffic management" solutions in the area.

Keep it open! Make it safe! There was plenty of money to widen the exit road on the Roundabout 500 yards from this junction.

roundabout before lights (still too many fly along that road) and speed cameras.
closing the junction will cause chaos elsewhere especially through shiney row/herrington which is already a bad road for traffic!!
