Say No to Big-Box Rezoning at Hillcrest & LBJ

There are way too many vehicles is the area right now. We don't need more.

Distance from Hillcrest at LBJ to first retail North at Hillcrest and Frankford Road is 5.2 miles (there is only one restaurant and one retail business at this intersection) Distance from Hillcrest at LBJ to first retail South at Hillcrest and Northwest Highway is 4.0 miles There is no retail for 9.2 continuous miles from North to South on Hillcrest Road. This is not an issue on either Preston Road or Coit Road as they are both zoned for retail. This will definitely affect traffic on this densely residential street.

This is a horrible location and will negatively impact many homes and schools

Increased Traffic, Flooding a block away, pollution, environment concerns, increased crime, road decay, blocked sidewalks,increased danger to pedestrians, increased danger to cyclists, intolerable delays from point a to b, water pollution, air pollution, delays in critical medical safety care from ambulances and the Police

We had an emergency on our street this week that additional traffic would have prevented a home being saved from a fire.

This isn't the place for Regional Retail.

Since H-E-B threaten to bring into low income housing at the meeting last week if they are not approved, I'm afraid of the traffic that will be caused by this store that will endanger my kids when they are outside playing.

Everybody wants an HEB, just not there.

I am not in favor of this and feel this circus belongs at Valley View that sits vacant

While HEB is a great grocery store--their choice of the Hillcrest and LBJ will have a negative impact for homeowners, traffic, and noise.

There are areas in Dallas that need a grocery store- Hillcrest at 635 does not.

I respectfully oppose the development of a HEB in this small, already-congested area. The community is currently overwhelmed with horrific traffic conditions, and adding a project of this magnitude will only make matters worse. The volume of traffic a store of this size will generate is not compatible with the existing infrastructure. It will create further gridlock, making it increasingly difficult for residents to commute and for small businesses to operate effectively. The excessive congestion will stifle growth, reduce quality of life, and pose safety concerns for everyone in the area. A HEB store at this location, is not in the best interest of the community, and I urge decision-makers to protect the character, accessibility, and livability of this neighborhood by rejecting

This is a residential neighborhood. A big box store like HEB doesn’t belong there. It will increase traffic, which is already bad. They can find another better suited location.

This is a disastrous plan both for HEB and is reputation and for the area. It is ill conceived. There is a much more logical and viable site that is not even mentioned WHY? I strongly oppose this plan.

HEB needs to be built at another location..

Traffic is already backed for miles from the I-5 every morning and evening. How can the city justify adding another 45,000 vehicles a week to such a problem. It takes me an average of 7 minutes at the corner of Crim and LBJ Access just to make a right-hand turn on the access rd. This is less than one-half mile from the HEB Hillcrest intersection. You won't be able to get out of your own neighborhood and excess traffic will attempt to cut through the neighborhood with no luck. Horrendous traffic issue no doubt. Check out Valley View. It's the obvious location.

The congestion at LBJ-Hillcrest will further lock down traffic. Absolutely the wrong place for a retail outlet. There are many other better suited locations for that.
