I live near that intersection and I do not want an HEB in my neighborhood. I do not want more crowded roads and traffic at the intersection.

The location for this HEB and rezoning is the wrong place for placement. There is already a problem with the LBJ design at Hillcrest which causes traffic issues and too many accidents at Hillcrest and LBJ intersection, already. There is inadequate road capacity for that volume of traffic. All this will do is add insult to injury! HEB is to big a company and needs more open land away from the congested traffic. The City needs better planning.

Of all the idiotic “development” projects this city has entertained, this is the most idiotic. Located in a flood plain, at the intersection of two of the busiest freeways in the metroplex, and between two of the busiest surface streets in the city, and adjacent to one of the most convoluted and congested off and on-ramp complexes known to man, the management of HEB should be banished to Venezuela. “Congestion” does not begin to describe the traffic debacle that will result. It is no surprise that the Dallas Morning News supports it—(which, coming from the dying shell of a newspaper it once was, proves the project is moronic).

Traffic at this location is already bad. Anyone who thinks this is a good location should spend time both north and south of LBJ at 5 p.m. on a weekday. I would like to have an HEB also, but this is the wrong place.

This amount of increased traffic will ruin the area, Hillcrest road will be a disaster. I asked about number of big rig trucks and they only mentioned the 6 daily HEB trucks, purposely leaving out traffic from vendors.
We love HEB like many other people, but we don’t need a flagship store here.
