There is talk of a female taking over the roll of THE DOCTOR, the roll of doctor who as always been male, the doctor himself as said, I'm a mad MAN in a box I think if a woman took the title roll over it will be the end of the show, please show your support in keeping doctor who a male.
I'm signing this for multiple reasons. The first being I never got to see the show myself. The second being...if I'm going to see it, I want to see it as it was, not changed into something it shouldn't be. Ever heard the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Well, from what I've seen and heard, Doctor Who was not broken. Don't try fixing it with a Female Doctor.

I'm signing this because it did not work when they brought the master back as a woman, missy. Her acting was amazing but story wise it complicated the relationship between the doctor and the master as they were best friends who became enemies but then become lover. It will not work as the doctor is married to river song who is a woman so this would mean they would become lesbian etc. I am not sexist but story wise it would kill it. Women can only make good companions and timeladies to change the doctor from a time lord to a time lady would destroy doctor who!

WHY do you have to make it multi-cultural? Why do you have to have a female Time 'LORD'!!!!!!!! I will never eatch it or buy the blu rays until it returns to a man. The ratings speak for themselves, so BBC either kill her off, and replace with a man, or just cancel the show and consign it ti the history books. I will be buying the old Dr Who dvds instead. I Wonder, if Wonder Woman is going to be played by a man next, or is that sexist too! Dr Who was successful for a reason, if you tear ti pieces the origional format you just ruin it, female Dr Who, multi-cultural, just for the sake of it.
Not the slightest bit interested now.

Been a fan of the show for 10 years.
Christmas 2007 was when I first officially got into Doctor Who; the show stole my heart away when I watched Voyaged of the Damned that fateful day and I've been madly in love ever since. 10 was my favorite Doctor, but I have to admit that 12 came in as a very close second. Through thick and thin, I've stuck with this show and fought battles you wouldn't believe just to watch it. (Long story, not gonna bother explaining any further because it's irrelevant.) If they succeed in changing the Doctor to a girl, however, this is where I walk out.
And before you bother calling me sexist and such, I'm a girl, a young lady and an absolute adult. I've been told since I was a child how much more mature I was than others of my age and also how understanding and kind. I'm not always sure that it is true, but that is how others of all political and religious and non-religious standpoints have viewed me.
You can go ahead and try to justify this decision on their part any way you please; I've had one such individual who was quite close with me already write me a five paragraph lecture on why I was wrong and why this is perfectly justified, and it didn't change my opinion in the least. I also didn't disrespect him when he said he enjoyed it and was staying with the series -- that was his choice. His opinion. Well, this is mine. You can slice it any way you wish, but the Doctor has always been male and despite the insistence of certain PC people and feminists in general, there was nothing wrong with that.
And to all of the members of said groups in general, as a woman, I have one thing to say to you; while you unarguably have the same right I or anyone else does to speak your mind and share your views and opinions with the world, I ask one thing and one thing only of you: Stop acting as if you are representing ALL women and that everything you do will benefit ALL women, because that is not the case; I do not agree with you and you a
