Yes absolutely. I got to admit if i hadn't gone to Suva for check up at a private hospital, i would have died too from the pathetic scan report i had when i was 3 months pregnant last March 2020.I had a weird feeling that my stomach was paining so much that i couldn't eat or walk properly. Then i had a scan at Savusavu Hospital and they keep telling me that the baby is normal. Plus some other patients supposed to have scan but the doctor said that there's no more gel. Thats not the patients problem, Anyways the report they gave me still made me unsatisfied. So after 3 days of scan i decided to go to Suva until I felt weak in the ferry boat to Natovi then i reached my parents house. The very next morning I went to the Makoi Private Doctor then she said I have to have another scan, thats when she scanned me and informed me the baby was no more,meaning the baby is still inside me but dead. So the baby was already dead when i was still in Savusavu and that Savusavu hospital scan couldn't even detect it. Pathetic machine and service they have in Savusavu. Either the scanner machine is not working or the doctor just made up his own assumptions to make me satisfied so he can see the next patient. So some doctors and nurses are just roaming around fancy with their uniforms but their service is slack, then cross leg waiting for their wages. Waste of money paying these kind of civil servants. So yes I'm supporting this one. Rest in love Lyn Ramatau.

The state of the hospital is at its worst ever. It needs immediate attention and action.
Savusavu town hospital requires an urgent review of its staff, internal practices and equipment.

Savusavu Hospital is in need of upgrades. I was I was born there in 1973. The hospital looks so rundown which was very sad to see.

I for 1 mostly gets checked up in this hospital yet I've never complained about the services provided by them,but after this sad incident that struck whole of Savusavu,

We live in Savusavu for 6 months of the year , with Covid we have been unable to return to Savusavu from New Zealand since December 2019. From talking to our neighbours the level of care and conditions at Savusavu are barely adequate to for the needs of the Savusavu people and surroundings villages . We need an upgrade of facilities and medical support . Are willing to help in any way possible to make the hospital a fit for purpose facility .
