This is not OK. It’s one thing to have a generator but it must be regularly checked as part of a detailed systems management plan.

Included should be the repair of their large backup generator which hasn't run in years. Following TC Ana, families were asked to rermove their loved ones from the morgue because the small backup generator donated a few months ago, is only big enough to run the ICU.

Government should see to it that the population is taken care of. Less of the parading in the Regional and international space and focus on your own backyard first, which is infested with issues that needed your prior attention.

The Savusavu hospital serves a large number of Fijians and expats. The level of care is not satisfactory, and the equipment on hand is sub standard. The community of Savusavu deserves better.

the lack of BASIC medical services in Savusavu is very sad, considering the population and distance to Labasa the government should have taken the issues raised here, in the past, a lot more seriously instead of condemning the residents for the concerns brought forward.
