A charter school getting taxpayer money - sounds downright illegal to eliminate fine arts at any stage of the curriculum.

Music was the class where I can be free and be happy. I can express myself through music. I am sadden by the idea that this would be taken from us.

Fine arts was what got me through the long days at UICCP. Students must not have these courses taken away from them.

Music was, and continues to be, one of the most important parts of my life. Don't take this opportunity away!

Being in the fine arts department was one of the most influential times in my life. Do not take that away from someone else.

All students need a space to express their creativity and build work with others. You should give your students that space.

My daughter took great pride in the Fine Arts programs offered at UICCP and the discipline required helped prepare her for college. It's always the easy choice to cut fine arts but isn't always the best choice.

The fine arts program helped me get through my 4 years in UICCP. It was an outlet for me to express and to be the person I am today. If UICCP gets rid of the fine arts program then they are taking away an outlet for students to express them selves! #FineArtsForUICCPSeniors!!
