Students come from all over the world to study with members of the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera. Why would a Chicago university fail to give this opportunity to local children?

It is proven that musicians are better math students than those who do not participate in music.

You need to have fine arts to help the students grow. These are equally as important as sports.

Arts classes should be offered to all K-12 students every year. They are a crucial part of the curriculum and, for that matter, human life. Shame on Noble for even considering removing these classes.

I am leaning towards Education when I get to college. I was hoping to teach my kids multiple of things including music. I want to continue to have that experience, so that I can have more to teach. However, without the opportunity to still have music in highschool, and hopefully continuing it in college, I will not be able to teach them the things I want. Fine arts for our students is the only things that makes us happy, and that we actually enjoy. Instead of doing work all day long in a school like UIC College Prep, we have fun in our fine arts class. Please help us get our fine art back!

There's so much I could say about this, but there just isn't enough time. I can't express enough how important it is to integrate fine arts into our schedule. Taking that and offering it so early is just not feasible for some, on top of their already busy schedule. Please don't take this away from our students. I truly would not be who I am now without Mr. Sanders and our band class.

Since my start at Uiccp, I've always wondered why we did not have visual art. Now a junior, finally, visual art was offered for the first time, and it's almost like art is being taken away after just one year. Art is so important to me that I want to carry on with it in college. I cannot express in words what art means to me, but I can definitely say that it has changed the way I see the world and keeps my passion going everyday as well as my well being.
