*UPDATE* Wild Rivers Has Gotten A 1 Year Lease Extension This Is A Start That Gives Hope To Our Cause *UPDATE* It has come to the knowledge of Orange County residents and fans of Wild Rivers Water Park, that the 2007 summer season** is its last season of operation. Wild Rivers has been Southern California\'s premier water park for the last 22 years, and provided many jobs to its surrounding residents especially younger teenage residents at least 14 years in age who would not be able to find jobs else where. Wild Rivers has also provided lifetime memories to families and friends all across Orange County and visiting tourists from countries around the world. Not only has Wild Rivers provided clean wholesome family fun and friendships that will last for years between its employees. It has also maintained one of the highest safety records of any water park in the state of California, an accomplishment obtained by few water parks. Wild Rivers has also set the precedent for water park designs, layouts, and operations all across the United It is in the best interest of fans and employees of Wild Rivers to see it live on for another 22 years of operation and hopefully even longer. Sadly the Irvine Company and the City of Irvine feel that the property being developed into homes is in the best interest of the community and local residents.
