Jan 2012 Update
Please attend a Town Hall meeting with Marina Park, CEO, GSNorCal, on January 18, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2100 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek. This is one of two meetings GSNorCal has scheduled with volunteers during January to work on a plan to get Twin Canyon's operations closer to break even. The volunteer-run day camp at Twin Canyon increased the fees it charges to help cover more of the costs of operating the camp property. Others in the community have expressed interest in being part of a fund raising campaign to to establish a reserve fund that will generate income to help pay for operations and repairs on the property. Please come to learn more and bring ideas on how to help.

This petition requests GSNorCal Property Task Group and the GSNorCal Board of Directors not sell Twin Canyon Camp in order to "build" its property fund.
Girl Scouts is about making a difference in the lives of girls and in your community. It’s about seeing a problem and coming up with a solution. We see the closure of Twin Canyon as a huge problem and the solution is to band together as a community of Girl Scouts to help save it. The Twin Canyon camp experience makes a positive difference in lives of local girls. Please help make a difference in saving Twin Canyon by signing the petition.
Camp is a multigenerational experience. Please have everyone from your family that has participated in camping at Twin Canyon sign the petition and comment on how important Twin Canyon has been on their girl scout experience.

I have been coordinating with a group of volunteers to finalize a budget proposal that addresses the operational deficit at Twin Canyon. We are presenting these financial projections at the upcoming town hall to demonstrate that the camp can reach a break even point. Please attend this meeting prepared to discuss specific fundraising strategies for the proposed reserve fund.

We have reached one hundred signatures. I am currently preparing a formal letter to present these names to the GSNorCal leadership team to ensure our camp requirements are on the record.

Thanks for organizing this. I hope we can save it because it really is a special spot for so many people.
My family has used this place for years. It would be a huge loss for all the girls in our area if this gets sold off.
PLEASE DONT CLOSE TWC. My girls love it there and it is so important for the community. Keep it open!!!!!
I went to this camp as a kid and have such great memories. Its awful that they want to close it down now.
Just saw the news about the meeting. Hopefully they listen to us and keep things running like before.
