After reviewing all our camp locations, costs, profit/losses, etc., the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama has decided to close/sell 4 of our 6 camps. While their intentions are good, there is no need to sell/close Camp Coleman. Troops can afford to camp there and feel safe in their environment while they learn outdoor skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. Summer camp programs encourage girls to learn new things. Memories are made, new friendships are formed, and girls can be girls! These are traditional camps and need to be saved.
