I agree that the Cliffs Insane Terrain Off Road Park should be funded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources through the benefit of the OHV Grant Program. I feel that this program will help continue the operation of the current off-road park and continue to provide a much needed area for off-road enthusiast and their families. This will improve the sport of off-roading in Illinois for many years to come.Thank you for your support. Due to the recent economic crisis in our state, many small and personally owned businesses have had to refinance or file bankruptcy. In order to avoid the negative consequences of these or other actions, the owners of The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off Road Park in Marseilles, IL is asking for your support. Attached you will find a petition to be presented to the Off Highway Vehicle Board in Springfield, IL along with a written request for their consideration for grant funding in order to help save The Cliffs from any further financial concerns. A portion of every sale of an ATV, dirt bike, or other off highway vehicle sold in Illinois each year funds this grant. The purpose of the grant is to promote the sport of off roading within the state of Illinois and to expand the areas in which the public is able to learn about the sport. This grant money is awarded every year to many other off road parks and this year The Cliffs is asking for the money to save the park from financial distress. Money awarded to the park will be used for trail maintenance, new equipment, and other essential areas for daily operation.
