Royal Mail has announced that they intend to close South Bank Delivery office and merge into the Cannon Park site in Middlesbrough. This announcement comes after very little involvement with the CWU (Communication workers Union) or indeed the very customer’s the company serves. We wish to make it very clear to senior management that South Bank needs to remain open and continue giving an efficient and professional service locally, rather than our customers travelling 4-6 miles each way to pick up un-deliverable items, also the year on rolling costs such a move will incur. Support the workforce within South Bank and maintain a service that everyone in the community deserves.
