Everywhere you go people are quick to judge a pitbull, or any k-9 resembling a pitbull. Lets find a way to encourage proper training and educate people on the often common misconceptions of how to approach and handle a dog. Most dog bites happen because the human didn't see the hesitation, didn't see the uncomfortable hunch of the dogs back, didn't hear the low growl of warning. Most people are ignorant about a dog's body language and how they use it as their means of communication. People are also guilty of allowing a dog to dominate the household which can turn into a mess that the human believes is unrepairable, or that they didn't see coming. Im willing to bet that most pitbull bites/attacks happen with dogs that weren't socialized properly, that didn't get regular excersize, regular feeding. It is time to stop blaming the breed and start blaming the human standing behide it. Human created this breed, they shaped it into a believed killer. Lets find a way to stop the pit fights and start educating people on how to create a happy healthy relationship with these loyal, loving canines.
