I was just staring at the screen and honestly it feels like the whole city is finally waking up to how important our local representation is. It is wild to think about how many of you are just as tired of these proposed changes as I am because it really shows we are not alone in wanting to keep our direct connection to council.

dont change it. we need someone who actually knows our street and hears what we have to say when we have problems
If it aint broke dont fix it!! My councillor actually shows up to meetings and talks to us. Keep it local.
Please keep our local representation. We need people who understand the specific needs of our neighborhood not just city-wide politics
I like knowing who to call when there are issues on my block. Taking that away makes the council feel so distant and out of touch
The current setup works fine. Stop trying to make everything one big mess.

Keep the system as is. Kingston doesnt need more politicians who only care about the downtown core while ignoring the rest of us
