I support the district electoral system that we have in the City of Kingston now. A district electoral system is better because: - District councillors are more accessible to voters, their neighbours - District councillors are responsible for a specific area which means that all parts of the city have representation - District councillors tend to represent more diverse views and can reflect the needs of the whole city and the diversity of the city's population - District councillors can win an election by meeting voters at their doors and in their neighbourhoods even if they do not have access to a lot of money for a publicity campaign. I want a district councillor to continue to represent me and my neighbourhood on City Council.
