We are The St. Paul Island Historical Society. Our mission is to preserve the history of this island and it's significance to the coastal community of Dingwall, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The SW Lighthouse from St. Paul Island was taken off the island around 1988 and moved to the Coast Guard Base in Dartmouth, NS where it has remained hidden from the public and neglected. We would like to bring this beautiful historical monument home to Dingwall to care for it and have it become the centerpiece of our museum.
