My niece is 14 years old and suffers from Anorexia Nervosa. Her eating disorder team deem her not ill enough for inpatient treatment, though they know she refuses to eat for her Mum. My niece is 14 and an only child, earlier this year her Mum noticed she was loosing weight. After visiting her GP she was told to come back in 8 weeks. At the beginning of April weighing 6 stone 13lbs she was diagnosed with retrictive anorexia, she wieghed 8 stone at Christmas. My neice also self harms and last week weighing 6 stone 1lb she was admitted to a YPC for her own safety, though when she was there she was not made to eat, though they do have anorexia patients there, she came home yesterday weighing 5 stone 12lb. Her illness is now affecting her muscles, our main concern is that the heart is a muscle. Her ED team still say she is not yet ill enough to have inpatient care, despite her Mum telling them she can not refeed her at home. We desperately want her treated immediately as an inpatient to help her beat this critical illness.

She needs treatment immediatley and the NHS will not give her a bed, we need her in a specialist unit ASAP with funding from PCT/NHS.

Please help, we love her too much to loose her!
